The Onslaught of Spring

The weather is muggy and damp in Lafayette, Louisiana right now,  and it feels great to wear Spring time attire once again. This and other handmade flower crowns is a whimsical and romantic way to welcome in a Spring season who has decided to show up a couple of months too early.

"The strongest poison ever known
Came from Caesar's laurel crown....
When gold and gems adorn the plough
To peaceful arts shall Envy bow."

-- from "Auguries of Innocence" by William Blake

** Here I am wearing a cami and skirt from XXI, Steve Madden booties, and flower crown and feather epaulette from Automatic Doll.
